Uzumaki Naruto impatiently awaited his friend at their favorite hang out. He was coincidentally just down the river from the other three sparring shinobi, in the huge oak tree, nestled right next to a slow moving, lazy river. He sighed and leaned back, already planning out his breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the day… “Hmmm…Chicken ramen…Miso ramen………Shrimp ramen-” She muttered to himself.
“NARUTO!”
“ wha-WAHH!” The blonde Jumped at the noise coming from right behind him, slipping off the branch and falling into the water.
“Ohayo Naruto-kun!” The person who startled him laughed in the tree. “I didn’t know I scared you that badly!” She shouted to Naruto as he slowly sat up, holding his head.
“Dammit, Shizu! I wasn’t scared!” Naruto shouted back in retort, “I was just about to go for a swim! See? I’m swimming!” He dived under the crystal clear water and made a huge splash.
“Ok then, since you are just “swimming” I guess you don’t want any of this steamy, hot ramen. Oh well…More for me!” She giggled.
“N-n-nani? Hey! I’m hungry!” Naruto’s head popped up from the surface and the blonde struggled to get on top of the water, “H-hold on! I’m…coming!”
Shizu giggled again. “Ok, But you have to spar with me afterwards!”
“Deal…anything for Ramen!” He agreed.

“Er…Kotori versus Hikari…” Sasuke was in a bad mood, wringing his soaking shirt out at the lakeside. Kotori was in a combat-ready stance; Hikari was smirking at the opposite end of the field. Sasuke continued drying out his clothing as the two Kunoichi waited silently.
“Any day, Sasuke.” Kotori rolled her eyes.
“Ugh…JUST GO!” He shouted. The two Kunoichi shot off. Kotori stuck her tongue out at the Uchiha as she ran past him, and out onto the water’s surface, making a large splash as she skidded to a stop and turned around. Hikari was right on her tail, lashing at the fifteen-year old with a kunai. Kotori barely had time to dodge it, wobbling on top of the water.
“Damn you’re fast!” She exclaimed. Hikari just smiled and jumped several feet into the air. Kotori followed the girl with her eyes, but flinched as she gazed upwards. “Agh! The sun!” She squinted, trying to catch a glimpse of where her opponent could’ve gone.
“Gotcha!” A voice came from directly above her. Hikari was coming straight down on Kotori, with a huge ball of light cradled in her hands.
“Hn, that jutsu again?”
“I wouldn’t just stand there, It’s gonna work this time!” Hikari flew down; the violet-haired girl skidded to the side as soon as her eyes caught sight of the blue-eyed Kunoichi. Hikari flew past her, but jerked to an abrupt stop. Kotori had grabbed her ankle while she was in mid-air, swung her around and threw her, letting the momentum carry her opponent as far as possible.
“AAAGH!” Hikari skidded on the water’s surface, falling under. Several seconds passed and there was no sign of her. Kotori panicked.
“Crap! She could re-surface from anywhere…” She looked around frantically. “Wait…The flute!” Kotori pulled out her instrument and summoned the Rooster spirit. The phoenix immediately lifted her off the ground and hovered over the lake. The windy beats of its enormous wings roughened up the water’s surface, creating waves.
There was a soft glow under the water. “-The hell?” Kotori narrowed her eyes at it. All of a sudden, a huge ray of light shot straight up from the lake at blinding speed. The bird screeched, narrowly evaded the beam, Kotori stared at it wide-eyed. “H-holy…” Hikari shot up the beam from under the water, lingered for a moment, and then shot straight at Kotori. She flew past the Kunoichi’s summon at full speed, which panicked and disappeared in a puff of smoke. This, sending Kotori plummeting to the earth from over 100 feet in the air. Still freaking out, she summoned the Horse spirit, landing on its back just before she hit the ground. The beast reared and took off running as fast as it could; Kotori leaned forward, holding onto its pure white mane. “Uma, YAH!” She bolted instantly towards the woods.
Sasuke, meanwhile, was sitting up on the ground, mouth gaped open at the sight he just saw. “J-jeez…Kotori…You’ve got to be more careful!” He muttered to himself. Kotori was right near the edge of the forest.
“Almost there…” The horse was panting hard. “C’mon…” Closer and closer until.“W-WAHHHHHHHHHHH!” The horse reared, roughly throwing Kotori off her summon and skidding on the ground. Hikari had appeared right in front of them just in front of the edge of the woods. Two glowing balls of light in each of her hands. The violet-haired Kunoichi was lying on her back, trying to collect herself and breathing hard. Hikari suddenly disappeared from the front of the zodiac and re-appeared over Kotori, thrusting the solar energy in her palms straight at the Kunoichi’s throat. Still on the ground, Kotori screamed, Sasuke immediately shot up and ran to block her. But before he could reach-
Crackle-crackle
Hikari had stopped her attack inches away from Kotori’s neck. The violet-haired Kunoichi stood frozen, listening to the soft crackling of the ball of light that had come way too dangerously close. Hikari giggled. “I win!” She exclaimed as her attack dwindled down to noting. Kotori let out a sigh, just as Sasuke caught up. Out of breath, he glared at Hikari, and then at his sister.

Naruto and Shizu had weapons locked, each trying to force the other backwards. Shizu jumped into the air, throwing a shuriken at the startled blonde. Suddenly, someone grabbed her from behind, while still in mid-air. The shuriken hit the person on the water, which recalled in a puff of smoke.
“No…” She whispered and slowly turned her head behind her. Naruto had her in a head lock, and when they landed, he twisted her arms around to her back and pinned her down. Shizu was laying belly-down in the grass. Naruto grinned impishly, until the girl disappeared in a puff of smoke too.
“Wh-WHAT?!” He shouted.
“Looks like you lost, Naruto-Kun…” Started, Naruto stood straight up. Shizu now had him from behind, and was holding a kunai to his throat. A bead of sweat ran down his head.
“You wouldn’t” He calmly replied. Shizu just grinned, scaring the blonde even more. Instantly, he swung his leg behind him, tripping his comrade who fell flat on her face in the dirt.
“Oomph!” She hurriedly stood up, dusting off her clothes. “Heh, you little-” She ran straight at naruto who was now standing arrogantly on the middle of the river. But the Kunoichi stopped when she got there…Naruto had disappeared. “What the…Where is he-W-WHAAAAAAAAAAHHH-!”
Glubb…Glubb... Glubb

Sasuke, Kotori and Hikari’s head’s all abruptly turned to down the river. “W-what was that?” Sasuke exclaimed. Kotori suddenly started shaking.
“T-that scream…I-it sounded just like…” Kotori and Sasuke looked at each other.
“Shizu!” They shouted. Kotori immediately bolted towards the sound. The other two soon following after her.

Under the surface, the two stared at each other. One wide-eyed, the other smiling. Shizu was shaken, trying to recall just what, exactly happened.
Naruto’s hand shot up from the river, grasping Shizu around the ankles and had pulled her under before she realized what hit her.
The two climbed back on top of the water and walked back, completely out of breath. Shizu turned to her friend. “Ok, ok…Heh, you win Naruto-Kun…” She panted.
“H-hey, can we go finish that left-over Ramen now? Sparring makes me so hungry!”
“O-ok!” Shizu, also eager to eat, bolted off towards the tree. Tripping over Naruto’s feet, who then in turn, tripped over her. The two shinobi both ended up on the ground. Naruto was on top of her and the two were blushing madly.

The trio of panicked Shinobi suddenly burst through the forest, weapons in hand, panting. “Shizu!” Startled, Naruto and Shizu both jumped up from the ground, both still bright red. The three of them stared at the two comrades, eyebrows raised and mouths gaping open. Kotori’s eye twitched. “Eh…WH-what exactly were you two doing?!” She exclaimed.
“Um…w-we were…t-training…and-”
“Training for what?” Sasuke smirked evilly. Naruto scowled, turning even redder.
“Oh, leave him alone, Sasuke. We were sparring and we just tripped.” Shizu came to the blonde’s defense. Kotori burst out laughing.
“Geez, you two…we all freaked out ‘cuz we thought Shizu was actually in trouble!” The violet-haired Kunoichi grinned. Shizu giggled to, finally noticing the white-haired girl standing next to her friend. She tilt her head.
