“C’mon Sasuke!” Kotori was up next to the Uchiha’s bed, shouting. “Get up!” Sasuke lazily opened his eyes and glared at her.
“Kotori…I swear to god-” She just looked at him for a moment and grinned. The Uchiha looked at the girl questioningly, and his eyes widened as she suddenly jumped on top of him and sat on his stomach. “AGH! Holy crap! Kotori!” She just kept looking at him with an evil smirk on her face. He stared angrily at her, “Kotori…It’s kinda hard to breat-”
“I’m not moving!” She teased. Rolling his eyes and sighing, he pushed her off the side of the bed and got up. All the while hearing a loud THUMP, as the Kunoichi hit the floor.
“OW!” Rubbing the back of her head, she looked up at him and stuck her tongue out. Ignoring her and taking off his shirt, he threw it to the floor…but it instead landed on Kotori, as he dug into his dresser drawers.
“…Out…” He pointed to the door, without even looking up.
“Pshh…fine…” She muttered as she yanked the shirt off her head and walked out of the room, closing the door behind her. “Sasuke, why do you have to be such a grouch in the morning?!” she exclaimed. Rolling his eyes he sat on the side of the bed as he dressed. “……Helloooo...?” Kotori became impatient when, after several minutes, she heard no answer. “………” “Um…You’re not dead are you?” She shouted through the wood. Sasuke looked up at the closed door with one eyebrow raised.
“Nani? What the hell are you talking about?!” He shouted in reply. “Pshh…And like you of all people have a right to say that…” he muttered to himself, annoyed.
“Yeah…well I- WAHH!” Kotori fell at his feet as he jerked open the door. Sasuke just stared down at her with a ‘what’s-wrong-with-you?’ look.
“I-I was……leaning on…the door…” the Kunoichi mumbled. “Um…” Looking around and blushing, she abruptly stood, brushing herself off. “Here!” She shoved his sword at him and ran down the steps to grab her bag. Hanging it on his back, he followed and she hastily grabbed his arm and ran out the door.
“What are you so exited about?!” He asked. “It’s not like we’ve never sparred before!” She turned towards him and kept running down the busy main road of Konoha as she explained.
“I’ll tell you later! We gotta go meet Naruto at Ichiraku!”
“Hmmm?” The Uchiha just stared at her curiously. “Erm…ok.”
-----
“Naruto!” Kotori waved, as she and Sasuke arrived at konoha’s famous ramen shop.
“Ohayo, Kotori-Chan! Sasuke-teme!” The 15 year old blonde sported a big smile and waved back, practically standing in his seat.
Sasuke smirked as he beat Naruto in the head, causing a large bump to form “Heh…You put ‘teme’ after my name like its normal…Aitsu.” Naruto just held his head and scowled.
“Well excuse me!” The boy snapped back. “…Anyways, Onii-Chan, you got the Onigiri?”
“Hai!” Kotori pulled out a box of normal rice balls.
“……” Sasuke turned and stared at the package. “Wh-what is it with you three and Onigiri?”
Kotori looked up at the Uchiha “Oh! They’re not for us…It’s a gift!”
“Gift?” Sasuke looked confused.
“Yeah…but these ones are just plain ‘cuz we don’t know what they like…” Naruto said.
“Who?” Sasuke turned to the blonde. “Um…D-did I miss something?!” Naruto looked at him, surprised.
“What? Kotori didn’t tell you?” Sasuke turned to the violet-haired
Kunoichi, who smiled and shrugged in response. Naruto rolled his eyes.
“Ugh…ok, there’s this new family that moved in. I heard there’s a girl roughly our age there too…so…” He held up the box of rice balls. “We’re gonna go give ‘em a welcoming present!” The blonde grinned.
Sasuke turned away and smirked. “Heh…sounds good to me…” He replied.
-----
Naruto led the two of them to a small apartment, nearest the Hyuga estate. Naruto knocked on the large redwood door. “………”
“…Hmm, No answer…” He shrugged.
“…J-just leave them on their doorstep or something……C’mon, I-want-to-spar!” Sasuke was more enthusiastic about fighting than normal, But Kotori huffed and placed the Onigiri on the enter matt in front of the door.
“Fine, let’s go.” She added.
“Err…I guess I’ll see you guys later then?” Naruto said. Confused, Kotori turned to the blonde.
“Wha? Aren’t you coming?” She had an eyebrow raised. Naruto shook his head.
“I have a mission with Hinata or something……She always acts so weird around me, but she’s kinda cute. So, I might as well walk her to the missions building since we’re right next door to the Hyugas.”
Kotori shrugged “Um…alright, see you later then.”

Two ninja were fighting full out at the training field. Any normal person would say each were intent on killing the other. The Kunoichi was panting hard from physical exhaustion, wary of any sneak attacks her opponent may attempt. He had to come straight at her. That’s all she needed him to do. The Kunoichi smiled, the victory would soon be hers for the taking.
Likewise, the male shinobi was breathless also, but wasn’t surprised at how strong his partner had become. Still, he knew he was an excellent opponent for her, because his kekkai genkai saw right through her illusions. “Hmpf, she’s holding out quite well…for a GIRL.” The boy said to himself. Right then a bomb exploded in the tree he was residing in and he immediately took off. “Shit!”
“I heard what you just said, BAKA!” The Kunoichi shouted. Sasuke flew through the forest edge, narrowly dodging an assortment of kunai, shuriken and bombs.
“Geez…remind me never to piss off a girl during sparring practice…” Sasuke leapt from the tree and landed right in front of the girl, smirking. “Let’s try not to burn the forest down, M’kay?” The Uchiha teased. The girl swung her leg around to his. Sasuke instantaneously jumped several feet into the air. “I’m disappointed in you, Kotori.” He laughed. The girl just smiled, cutting a seemingly invisible string she had attached to another tree. At once, one of the branches snapped and a barrage of kunai came flying straight towards Sasuke. Still in the air, he had to find a way to dodge the assault. Throwing his sword down, the point landed straight down into the ground. The Uchiha landed on the top of the handle and used it to shoot sideways and out of the way of the knives. “You can do better than that!” He exclaimed as he landed safely in the grass.
“Oh please.” Kotori sighed and leisurely pointed behind him. Startled, the boy slowly looked up. Only to find a big, scaly snake hissing in his face.
“W-whoa!” Sasuke backed away from the enormous reptile and guardedly sat on the ground, “Err…l-lets not g-get too hasty…Heh…” he said as he suspiciously watched the serpent sway back and forth. Flinching when it’s forked tongue brushed his cheek.
Kotori turned away crossed her arms in accomplishment. “Heh so, give up yet?” She smirked. But her grin soon turned into astonishment as the snake lunged at her out of the blue. “What the-”
“Give up? Now why would I do something like that?” Sasuke was sitting on the huge summons’s long neck. He had wrapped his own chakra threads around the beast’s head like a bridle and was controlling it as if it were a horse or dog.
“Whoa! No way!” Kotori flipped backwards and summoned the Rooster spirit. “Look’s like it’s zodiac against zodiac now!” She smiled in excitement “…Hmmm, this could get interesting-” The bird flapped its enormous wings as the Kunoichi got in its back and rose into the sky. Sasuke lunged for the bird but it was just out of the serpent’s striking range, the snake coiled up and prepared to strike again. The phoenix started shooting bursts of flames towards the pair, but Sasuke narrowly dodged them, rapidly making hand signs all the while.
“Rasen Doragon Kaen no Jutsu!” Three spouts of fire shot from the Uchiha’s took the form of three dragons. They spiraled and braided with each other, combining into a huge mass of flames.
“CRAP!” Kotori shouted and the bird shot another huge ball of flames, which almost instantly collided with Sasuke’s attack. The combined assaults flew into a rage or power, exploding and sending both Kotori and Sasuke flying backwards. The two summons disappeared in giant puffs of smoke as the shinobi hit the ground.
Sasuke grabbed his black daggers, and quickly attached them to create the double edged sword. Kotori grabbed one of Sasuke’s demon wind shuriken she always kept in her pack. Keeping the shuriken closed, The two darted towards each other as hard and fast as humanly possible. Colliding and locking weapons when they hit. They were both shaking, trying to push the other back. Keeping one of his hands on the weapon, Sasuke used his free hand to grab a kunai out of his back pouch and swung it at Kotori’s arm. Which she quickly blocked with one of her own kunai.
“Damn…She equals with me…” The Uchiha muttered. “What do I do now…”
“Geez…He’s just as good as I am” Kotori thought. “What do I have, that he doesn’t…”
“Wait…Naruto taught me-” They both said. The two shinobi flipped backwards and rapidly made hand signs. Kotori Gathered wind in her palm and Sasuke cradled a ball of swirling flames in his. The two attacks closely resembled Naruto’s Rasengan except with fire and wind and the two raced towards each other at blinding speed. When they collided, the wind fanned the flames and Sasuke’s attack just exploded.
“ACK!” Kotori shielded herself with her arms as she flew backwards into a tree.
“WHOA!” Sasuke too, was thrown back and skidded into the near-by lake. "D-dammit! I'm all wet!" He rolled his eyes, and struggled to keep balance.
The two slowly got up and walked towards each other. Kotori smiled and pounded fists with her comrade.
“Ya know-” She panted. “I like it a lot better when you actually fight back.” Sasuke smirked in response.
“Heh…th-thanks?” Sasuke wanted to comment sarcastically, but was too winded to talk. It was getting late, and the two just laid in the grass until the sun set. Little did Sasuke know, this night would change his life.
